Day 4

My goal for today:
Find things to do in Second Life... I'm bored... Again

Yes, I am bored again. So today, before I went into SL, I wanted to do some research on it. People are not that keen on talking with me in SL, so it is better to see what people are saying about it on the outside. First I did a basic research on google with the words "what to do in Second Life", and I got millions of hits. So I started at the top. I found some articles like this, this and this, and the last one seemed interesting, so I decided to try it out. The SLURL's in the article didn't work (or I did something wrong), so I decided to go with a couple of things he recomended from the article; to go to Amsterdam and go GoKarting. So I went to Amsterdam first.

My first impression was pretty good, since, as it says in the article also, it is a very complicated and detailed city (architecture), and that gave me a little more feeling of it beeing actually a "Second world/life". I walked around, and like always, I got quickly bored, and didn't understand what to do.

I saw an area with a lot of green dots on the map, so I flew there, and of course, it was the "red light district". I was amazed... There were prostitues everywhere, hanging out, right by the canal, that actually made the whole scenario pretty realistic. I tried talking to some of the prostitutes, but they weren't very interested in me since I wasen't a potential customer... I logged off.
